Nikon Z 14-30mm f4 Love an ultra wide angle. Really looking forward to using this in the fells and on the local beaches. Amazon Wex

Nikon Z 24-200 f4-6.3 Years ago a zoom with this much range would have been unthinkable for a professional but thanks to the design of the Z bayonet this is now possible. An awesome lens. Amazon

3-legged thing -Albert I love these guys and Albert is who I turn to if I need the ultimate height and stability. A superb tripod system. Amazon

3-legged thing - Billy If the weather is relatively still and I’ve got a big hike I take Billy. He’s brilliant but talks a lot :) Amazon

Tenba Axis 32L Camera bag This is my bag of choice for any photography that does not include a wild camp. Fits well and is comfortable. Allows me quick access to my camera. I can carry a couple of camera bodies, a couple of lenses and a drone as well as batteries etc. Amazon

DJI Mini 2 Fly more kit This tiny drone is quite amazing. It goes everywhere with me. I also carry a DJI Mavic 2 Pro if it’s a bit blowy or the best quality stills are required. Amazon

Lee ND grads used less and less as I often exposure blend but sometimes it’s just nice to get it right in camera. ND grads reduce the exposure, usually in the sky, to match the foreground. Amazon

Lee Big Stopper essential for those super long exposures which I love. Amazon

Lee polariser I use this a lot. Almost essential. Amazon

Nikon Z30 At the time of writing this has not yet been released but I’ve got one on order as it looks like a light weight vlogging solution that will give me the quality I’m after.

GoPro Hero 9 used with a suction mount in the car, on a small tripod for B-roll or handheld when hiking. Light, indestructible and 4K. Amazon

Rode Wireless Go a charge lasts all day and captures audio brilliantly. This allows me to wander into the landscape but still produce excellent audio. Amazon

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max a brilliant video camera as it’s always in my pocket. Amazon

Clothing

Scarpa walking boots Do not compromise on walking boots. Mine are goretex and waterproof. It does not matter how far I walk they are never uncomfortable and my ankles stay protected. Highly recommended. Amazon

Musto Corsica Jacket 2.0 Keeps out the rain and keeps me warm. Also has some deep pockets for chucking filters in if the weather turns nasty. Amazon

Musto HTX Gore tex trousers. Cannot find a link to these but they are brilliant in extreme conditions.

Rab jacket I wear this jacket to keep me warm on chilly days. Quite a distinctive colour too! Amazon

North Face Waterproof I’m on the second one of these. The previous one I had for years until my little dachshund Millie decided she needed to chew on something one afternoon! Warmth is captured by my t-shirt and mid layers. This keeps the rain out. Simple! Amazon

North Face Fleeces I’ve got several of these. Thin, soft but incredibly warm. Amazon

Sealskinz Waterproof Gloves With cut throughs for the first finger and thumb, these gloves allow me to operate the touch screen on the camera but keep my hands warm and dry the rest of the time. Wouldn’t be without them in cold weather. Amazon
