Haweswater, winter 2024
My family rented a wonderful house in the Lake District for my 60th birthday. As we were together as a family I agreed to only take my camera out once during our stay and it turned out to be a fruitful shoot. This was taken the day after my birthday with my best mate beside me. This is Haweswater, a location I had never been to but traditionally is photographed from the hill to the left of this image where there are some abandoned houses. I may end up back there at some stage but for now I’m very happy with this moody image taken just before sunrise.
